Install Needed Files
The dose engines require a number of data files to run properly. In the case of the default superposition-convolution (SC) engine, all necessary files are included with the SarrpDose installer.
The Monte Carlo (MC) dose engine, if included in the installation, requires a phase space data file for each installed collimator that depends on the machine’s treatment head type.
The different treatment head types are:
brass_block
- Brass block treatment head, older SARRPs.4d_ic
- 4D head with an ion chamber4d_no_ic
- 4D head without an ion chamber
To download the required phase space data:
-
Within existing directory:
%PROGRAMDATA%\Xstrahl\SarrpDose\EGSnrc\egs_home\dosxyznrc
manually create the subdirectory tree:
\data\<treatment_head_type>
where
<treatment_head_type>
is the name of the machine’s treatment head type and matches one of the options given above. -
Copy the phase space files required for the user’s system from subdirectory
<treatment_head_type>
in the phase space Sharepoint folder into the new subdirectory:%PROGRAMDATA%\Xstrahl\SarrpDose\EGSnrc\egs_home\dosxyznrc\data\<treatment_head_type>
The naming convention of phase space files is given in the table below:
